Tiger Woods Ends PGA Tour Losing Streak, Crushes Field at Arnold Palmer Invitational

More than two years after a huge sex scandal derailed his aura of invincibility and roiled his personal life, Tiger Woods is back to doing what he does best.

Winning.

Woods looked dominant as ever in his Sunday red shirt at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, notching his first PGA Tour victory since 2009.

The 36-year-old closed with a 2-under 70 and won by five shots over Graeme McDowell. The tour win was Tiger's first in 923 days, if you can believe it.

"I think he really just kind of nailed home his comeback," McDowell said. "Great to have a front-row seat watching maybe the greatest of all time."

Woods showed flashes of his old self in recent months, even winning the Chevron World Challenge (an unofficial event). But it all came together this week.

Walking off the green, Tiger waved his cap to the crowd. "It's not like winning a major championship or anything," he said. "But it certainly feels really good."

His next appearance will be in a major championship, the Masters, where he played well the past two years even while demonstratively off his game.

The rest of the field is officially on notice April 5.
